Access Testing - Working Safely at Height

Who we are, and what we do...

Operating nationally for over 10 years, Access Testing specialises in the safety of Personnel working at height.

Working with over 2000 clients we are experts in our field and we are one of the largest maintenance organisations operating within this field in the UK.

Access Testing are unique in the industry as our business is primarily service orientated, unlike our competitors who usually concentrate on new-build projects within the construction sector. Our clients are predominately Facilities Management Companies and Building Managers and we provide a total solution for the end user of all types of Fall Protection, Facade Access and Loler Equipment. We are able to inspect, test, certify, repair, maintain and supply all the following types of Fall Protection and Facade Access Equipment.

Fall Protection Systems, Facade Access Equipment, Cable-based Fall Protection Systems, Travelling Ladders, Fixed & Free-Standing Handrail, Travelling Gantries, Fixed Ladders, Building Maintenance Units, Eyebolts (Fixed & PushLock), Monorails, Isolated Anchor Posts & Points, 1 & 2 Man Powered Cradles, Mobile Man Anchors, Powered Chairs, PPE (Harnesses, Lanyards etc.), Abseil Monorails and Tracks Abseil Anchorages.

Access Testing specialise in the planned preventative and statutory testing and maintenance of Fall Protection systems and Suspended Access Equipment.

All work is completed in accordance with the appropriate standards and specifications (e.g. BS EN 795, BS EN 7883, BS6037 Pts 1&2, BS7883, LOLER, BS EN 361 and the EU work at Height Directive).

At all times our main concern is the on-going safety of all personnel working height. Safety systems require inspection and re-certification on a regular basis. During testing, all components are visually inspected for signs of damage or corrosion as well as being subject to a proof-load test to ensure they can sustain a designated load.

Our professional administration department manages the testing process and all equipment and site details are kept on our advanced CRM database package. We identify the testing requirements for each site based on the systems installed and develop an inspection package to meet individual needs. We have prepared a series of PPM information documents to enable building managers and duty holders to further understand the regulatory inspection requirements for all Fall Protection and Suspended Access Equipment and strongly suggest these are read in conjunction with this introduction. These documents are freely available, on request.

Access Testing has developed a team of highly experienced and qualified technicians who are able to undertake full inspections, testing, maintenance and repair of all the systems detailed above. Their comprehensive knowledge of both installation and maintenance enables them to provide expert fault diagnosis and identify rectification requirements immediately. As part of our total solution package, we provide Work at Height training for managers and site operatives. Our modular approach means that we can tailor our courses to the Client´s specific needs. Also, site specific training in the use of suspended access and fall protection systems ensures that duty-holders can be confident that their operatives are competent to use such equipment.
